Bangladesh is expected to be placed in a difficult group for the 2018 ICC T20 World Cup, thus they will have their work cut out for them.

Bangladesh will play in Group D against Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands, according to The Telegraph.

Group A comprises India and Pakistan, while Group B includes holders England and Australia, two more archrivals.

The ninth edition of the event, which takes place from June 4 to June 30, features matches in both the US and the West Indies for just one group—that of Bangladesh.

The top two teams from each of the four groups will next go on to the tournament’s Super Eight round.

According to the Telegraph article, the World Cup groupings will soon be officially announced, but the participating nations have already received it via the International Cricket Council.
