In a match that was eventually called off due to rain, the Bangladesh women’s Emerging side emerged victorious against Pakistan by a score of 6 runs to advance to the championship match of the Women’s Emerging Teams Cup.

The game continued into the following day, but because of the rain, it was shortened to nine players on each side.Despite a batting collapse that saw them reduced to six down for 16 runs in 3.4 overs, Bangladesh was able to score 59 for 7 when they were given the opportunity to bat first.

Tigresses’ embarrassment was spared thanks to number seven Rabeya Khatun’s score of 10 and number eight Nahida Akter’s score of 21 from 16 deliveries.

Pakistan’s score was brought down to 53 for four despite needing 13 off the last over because Sanjida Akter allowed for six runs to be scored in the penultimate over.

Tomorrow’s championship game will be between Bangladesh and India.
