Afif Hossain, Zakir Hasan, and Rejaur Rahman are among the players who have been selected for the Bangladesh A team to play in the next four-day Tests against West Indies. The Bangladesh Cricket Board made the announcement today. Afif will serve as the team’s captain for the match against the touring West Indies A team.
The two unofficial tests are scheduled to take place at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on May 16 and May 23, respectively.
In addition to Afif, his Abahani Limited colleague Mohammad Naim, who was not previously part of the national team setup, has been brought in. Along with spinners Naeem Hasan, Tanvir Islam, and Rishad Hossain, test opener Mahmudul Hasan, who only recently found himself out of the national setup, has been included.
In addition to Raja, the team includes the pacers Mushfique Hasan and Ripon Mondol, both of whom performed exceptionally well in the National Cricket League and other local events recently. Another pacer on the team is Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who represented Bangladesh in the most recent edition of the Under-19 World Cup.
