The 19-person Afghanistan team has been announced for the three-match T20I series against India.
It is the first time Rashid Khan has played for Afghanistan since the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023. However, considering that he is recuperating from back surgery, there are questions over his availability for the three-game series.
Ibrahim Zadran has been designated the substitute captain in his absence. The Asian team defeated the United Arab Emirates 2-1 thanks to the opening. After playing in the UAE series as a reserve, Ikram Alikhil is back in the starting lineup.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who was absent from the T20I series in the UAE, is back as well.
