The Afghanistan Football Federation has issued a timetable for their friendly preparations for the next September FIFA Window on its verified Facebook page. The Afghanistan Football Federation has designated Sylhet as the location for the friendly match versus Bangladesh that will take place on September 7.
According to a post on Facebook, the former SAFF member will undertake a training camp in Sylhet before playing a friendly match against Bangladesh on September 7. They will then play another friendly match against the Philippines in Manila on September 12.
The dates for the September FIFA window are September 4 through September 12.
In addition, Bangladesh is scheduled to play two friendly matches within this window; however, the Bangladesh Football Federation has not yet confirmed the names of the teams that they will face as opponents. Officials from the BFF have said that Afghanistan, Nepal, and Myanmar are among the countries whose national football teams they are negotiating with. In addition to this, they are adamant on playing both matches at their stadium in Sylhet.
On the other hand, it has been brought to our attention that Myanmar has already agreed to play both of its FIFA window matches.
A source from inside the BFF has revealed that the 7th of September would most likely be dedicated to the hosting of Afghanistan. He also said that they may play another match against the Afghans at the same site before the beginning of the FIFA window. However, he did not rule out the possibility of playing another team after September 7.
