The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today opened a non-residential school where aspiring players will practice for a monthly fee under the motto “football for health.”
The BFF Football program has recruited prominent actor Zahid Hasan as its ambassador. The program will initially accept 80 youngsters between the ages of eight and 14.
Three days a week, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, each player must pay a registration cost of Tk 2000 and a monthly fee of Tk 3000 to participate in training.
“From now until September 7, football players who are interested in registering may do so. Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik, vice-president of the BFF, said today at a press conference at the BFF House that training for the age groups of 8 to 11 and 11 to 14 would begin on September 16.
The school will assist the youngsters focus on sports, teach them the importance of health, and keep them away from narcotics. Additionally, we also want to get parents excited about enrolling their kids in sports,” said Manik, noting that the academy is not a for-profit initiative of the organization in charge of regulating the activity.
“We are collecting monthly fees so that we won’t be responsible for paying the academy’s expenses. In addition, we will need to hire qualified coaches to lead training,” said Manik, adding that, pending the outcome of their first effort, they want to create branches of the school in Uttara and Old Dhaka.
Additionally, the BFF is thinking about selecting brilliant athletes from this institution for BFF Elite institution.
