Rashid Khan is a world-class leg-spinner who plays for Afghanistan. He has already proven himself to be one of the best in the world by playing all over the world.
In addition to Rashid, players like Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and a few others have shown a lot of potential. Afghanistan seems to be able to keep making exciting cricket players.
Afghanistan has become a unique force in world cricket because it has so many skilled players with different sets of skills. Its rapid rise on the world stage has been helped by the fact that it has so many natural abilities, even though it lacks tools and has to deal with the problems that come with being a crisis-ridden country.
Rashid told media before the game on Thursday, “It’s more about the natural talent we have back home in Afghanistan. That’s something that makes us more special.” “When you first start playing cricket as a young child, you want to learn the basics. As you get better, you become a good player. But if you’re a young kid who’s good at cricket and has natural ability and good skills, you work on those things and become one of the best players.
“Back home, we don’t have many places to stay. We don’t have much sport at home. But the good news is that we have the skills. And this is where Afghanistan is now because of it. If you go back 10 to 15 years, when the older people started playing cricket, we had no buildings and no fields. In Afghanistan, there was neither grass nor lawn on the field. The wickets were made of clay. They had trouble back then. But all we had to do was take Afghanistan to the next level. And they were skilled and talented,” he said.
The Afghanistan T20I captain was proud of how the country’s players have adjusted to their situation and made the switch from playing with tennis balls to cricket balls. Rashid, on the other hand, said that Afghanistan’s early struggles are now paying off by giving them a base from which they can dream of becoming the best in the world.
“They got players from tennis ball cricket and put them right into that level of play. But they knew they could do their best for the team. They were able to wait. I think that’s one thing that makes players from Afghanistan stand out at this level. Now we have the chance to have the best equipment, teachers, and everything else that helps us take care of ourselves and improve as players.
“Once the Afghanistan Premier League is back and we have a good local system, cricket will be on a whole different level. There will be many different types of players. “There are a lot of natural talents, but you have to polish them and give them a chance to show what they can do, and then we show off their skills,” he said.
