Abahani aim to bounce back as bpl resumes today0

Struggling Abahani will be anxious to get back on track in the Bangladesh Premier League when it returns at three sites on Friday after a nearly two-week hiatus for the national elections.

Six-time champions Abahani will face Sheikh Jamal DC at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj in a possibly entertaining match. In other matches, Mohammedan SC will face Brothers Union in Rajshahi, while Chittagong Abahani will face Rahmatganj MFS in Munshiganj.

After two rounds, Abahani are in eighth place in the 10-team standings after drawing and losing to Rahmatganj MFS and Fortis FC, respectively. Sheikh Jamal, on the other side, was defeated by Bangladesh Police FC after losing to Sheikh Russel KC in the league opener.

Sheikh Jamal have not won a professional league match against the Sky Blues since a 2-1 victory against Abahani in 2015.
