Tigers suffer hiccup after solid start0

Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman got rid of Bangladesh openers Liton Das and Afif Hossain in the same over after they got the Tigers off to a good start with a 67-run partnership in the second of two T20Is on Sunday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The Tigers were trying to beat Afghanistan by 117 runs.

After 11 overs, the Tigers were down to 76 runs and had lost three.

Liton scored 35 runs off 36 balls and was sent back by Mujeeb with the first ball of the 10th over. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan made a great catch at covers, and Afif’s 20-ball 24 came to an end when he was caught at deep-midwicket while trying to slog-sweep.

In the next over, pacer Azmatullah Omarzai got Najmul Hossain Shanto out when he played all over a full and straight ball. Shanto had just hit a four off six balls.

Bangladesh only got 20 runs in the next five overs after getting 50 in the first five.
