Taskin to be denied noc for lpl: bcb source0

Because of concerns over his workload management, the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the next Lanka Premier League (LPL) would not be granted to the strike pacer Taskin Ahmed of Bangladesh.

Towhid Hridoy, a batter, was offered the opportunity to play the first three matches for Jaffna Kings, while Taskin was offered the chance to play for Dambulla Aura for the whole of this season’s LPL, which began on July 30 and will end on August 20.

“Hridoy will receive NOC [for LPL], but with the Asia Cup and the [One-Day International] World Cup in the horizon, we need to look about Taskin’s workload management. Taskin is already participating in a franchise league (the Zim Afro T10), and as a result, he will be expected to comply to the necessary workload management protocols. According to a source close to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), who spoke on the condition of anonymity to The Daily Star, “He will not be given NOC because of these reasons.”

As a result of his responsibilities with the national team, Taskin had to turn down an opportunity to play in the Indian Premier League in the past.
