Following a muscular injury, Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is expected to be out for a few weeks, the Premier League team said on Thursday.
The left back has been ruled out of “upcoming games,” although the problem is still being investigated, it was stated.
Shaw, 28, has been a dependable member of manager Erik ten Hag’s team and started United’s opening two league matches, a 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers and a 2-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur.
Before the international break, United will host Nottingham Forest on Saturday and visit last year’s runners-up Arsenal the following weekend.
Mason Mount, a midfielder, has already been ruled out of both games after being hurt in their 2-0 defeat to Spurs. Tyrell Malacia, the backup left back, is also out due to an injury from last year.
