A member of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s medical department confirmed to The Daily Star that cricketer Shakib Al Hasan would go to London today to consult an ophthalmologist.
Shakib has recently had problems with his vision when batting. He had lately seen an ophthalmologist in Dhaka, having done so during the ODI World Cup in India.
Shakib’s franchise Rangpur Riders has scheduled a meeting with an ophthalmologist in London ahead of the Bangladesh Premier League. The ace all-rounder’s comeback date is unknown, but he is likely to be back before the start of the BPL on January 19.
The Bangladesh skipper, on the other hand, had a net session today at the Bashundhara Sports Complex, where he batted while wearing spectacles, before departing for London.
