The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board met on Tuesday and agreed to the rules of Sri Lanka Cricket’s (SLC) ban.
The ICC Board heard what SLC had to say and decided that Sri Lanka can continue to compete internationally in both bilateral cricket and ICC events. This comes after Sri Lanka was recently suspended for breaching its duties as a member, especially the requirement to run its own affairs without interference from the government.

The ICC will, however, decide how much money to give to SLC, and the ICC Board announced that Sri Lanka will not be hosting the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024. Instead, it will be held in South Africa.
