Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan took his 100th Test wicket in the first match against Sri Lanka in Galle on Sunday.
He had been out with an injury, but he had just come back from it.
Shaheen, who bowls quickly with his left arm, got Nishan Madushka caught behind for four in his second over. Sri Lanka chose to bat first in the first game of the two-match series.
The fast bowler had taken 99 wickets in 25 Tests at the same venue before he hurt his knee last year and couldn’t play.
Shaheen, who is 23 years old, made his international debut in 2018. Since then, he has taken 134 wickets in white-ball matches and become a star bowler for the Babar Azam-led team.
